DigiDAS Launch and The Importance of Language

Hi, I’m Liam and I work at Derbyshire Autism Services.

We are immensely proud to be launching DigiDAS today. We have spent a lot of time creating this site and we’re launching it with some functionality as part of a consultation so that you can tell us what you’d like to see. You’ll see this on most pages across the site.

One thing that we are aware of is language used to describe Autism. As an Autistic person myself, one of the issues that I’ve been reflecting on is the language that we should use on the website.

Personally, I don’t mind if someone calls me a person with Autism or an Autistic, but I’m quite aware that a lot of people have preferences.

So, please indicate below what you’d like us to use across the site and we will do so.
